In the
mechanical 21ST century times, where most of us make notes on
gadgets, while some of us hardly ever write for days together. Yet, can we
visualise an office without paper??
Yes, a Paperless office----which was visioned of first in mid 1970s. The
“office of the future” was assumed to make less to negligible use of paper to
conduct their business.
With the advent of paper digitization, the need for keeping notes and
documents on paper seemed dismal. Further in the ‘90s, as Microsoft introduced
its suite of Microsoft Office products, the hard files on tables started
getting replaced by a single computer which would single handedly store
information from all files.
Eventually today, documents are stored and exchanged digitally, document
scanners are used to scan and exchange multiple copies. Commercial organization who were the largest consumers of paper, now exchange information
electronically. To put it in simple words, we have now moved to an age of
reliable software and database products for data storage and management.
Having said that, while most of the business world’s communication needs
are addressed by digital devices, there is yet one piece of information that is
persistently used in communication with customers, vendors, associates,
consultants, advisors and several other professionals, i.e. Business cards.
Business cards still remains critical to relationship management with
all stakeholders. It is an essential ritual of every new meeting/association to
exchange business cards with each other and greet respectfully.
Overtime one collects a large number of
Visiting Cards which traditionally are filed and stored. Today it is felt that
this data be made available anywhere and everywhere at all times as people are
constantly on the move. eMyPA, provides a mechanism to preserve the most
important data for the business world in one of the safest and secure modes. It
is a platform to store the visiting card details on a cloud server making it
available at the owner’s finger tips anytime anywhere, thereby leading to
effective contact management by digitizing business cards and replacing
redundant business card scanning solutions.
